The Marquette Greenway is a regional trail extending through Northwest Indiana's Lake Michigan shoreline communities between the Illinois and Michigan borders.
Burns Harbor is currently developing 3 miles of the trail considered a vital link for connecting the Eastern and Western sections of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore together and for bringing users to the future town center.
Through the Burns Harbor Redevelopment Commission, the first phase of the project is fully-funded. Future phases are under environmental and engineering assessment while construction funding is sought.
