Mrs. Biancardi serves as an elected member of the Town Council as well as appointed President of the Sanitation Board, Secretary and Communications Liaison of the Redevelopment Commission and Plan Commission member. Formerly, she served as the Executive Secretary to the Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals and Sanitation Board from 2001 to 2015. Also, she previously served on the Park Board as well as Town Council from 2008 to 2011.

She was awarded her Master of Business Administration from Purdue University North Central (PNC) in May 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership & Supervision with a minor in business and communication from PNC in 2013. She is a member of the Sigma Beta Delta and Delta Mu Delta International honor societies.

Professionally, she currently works with the Duneland YMCA writing grants and providing IT support. She has nearly a decade of experience with Duneland School Corporation. There, she worked in a variety of roles including Computer Technology Teacher, Attendance Secretary at Chesterton Middle School, Remediation and Title 1 aides at Brummit Elementary School and substitute teacher. Mrs. Biancardi has held leadership roles in the food industry as an Assistant Manager with Gordon Food Service from 1993 to 2000 and Associate Store Team Leader at Whole Foods Market. Additionally, she has administrative experience at the Duneland Health & Wellness Institute and Westchester Public Library.

Mrs. Biancardi holds numerous other civic responsibilities. She is the Town's Duneland Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) representative, President of the Storm Water and Sanitation Boards, Plan Commission and RDC board member and Park Board Liasion. She volunteers with the Burns Harbor Park Department and Town Picnic planning committee.

Volunteering in her community has been a passion of Mrs. Biancardi's for more than a decade. Currently, she lends her time to the following organizations: Rebuilding Together Duneland, Burns Harbor Park Department, Burns Harbor Park Foundation, Duneland YMCA and the United Way Porter County. 

Born and raised in Burns Harbor, Mrs. Biancardi has lived in Town her entire life, besides a brief four years when she was relocated for work. She returned to Town after starting a family with her husband of 20 years, Anthony Biancardi. Together, they have two teenage children: Stephen and Travis. "I wanted to raise our family in Burns Harbor and share all the great things about Town with them," she said.

Mrs. Biancardi thrives in her leadership role through involvement. "I want to be a part of preserving the rich history of Burns Harbor and creating a thriving small town - one that brings residents and businesses together for a sustainable future," she said. "I love that our residents are passionate about our Town and I want to motivate us all to share that passion with others over coffee with our neighbors, at events and Town meetings."
