Fall Leaf Pickup

Every Tuesday returning October 24, 2023

Leaf collection will begin on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 and continue through December 5th, depending on how many leaves are still in the trees.  Please pile your leaves in town right-of-way along the pavement for pick up. Do not put leaves in ditches or over storm drains. Leaves must be clear of sticks, debris and pet waste.

Leaf collection may take more than one day per week and may be delayed by inclement weather.

Brush Pickup

Every Monday, April 3 - November 13, 2023

Tree branches are to be no longer than 6 feet long and no larger than 6 inches in diameter. Please pile your branches so the cut ends are in the same direction. All materials are to be placed on the Town's right-of-way, close to the edge of the pavement.

Please note that we cannot collect root balls, garden waste or vines of any kind because these items can damage our equipment.  You can bring these items, as well as garden waste, to our brush bin behind the Street Department, but they must be able to fit inside the bin.  Grass clippings and leaves are not accepted. If you are unsure whether your organic material can be brought in, please call (219) 787-9187.

In case of inclement weather, brush will be picked up as soon as weather allows.
