Mrs. Jordan has proudly called Burns Harbor home since 1990.  Mrs. Jordan serves the Town as Clerk-Treasurer and Scholarship Board Treasurer, having been elected to the positions in November 2003.  Previously, she served as the Sanitary Board Secretary and Vice President on the Park Board and Board of Zoning Appeals.  In addition to serving the Town, she has also worked as an Adjunct Professor for more than 20 years.

Mrs. Jordan has her master’s degree in Management Information Systems, bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and associate degree in Applied Science.  She has been designated as an Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk (IAMC) from the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasures (ILMCT), Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, Advanced Certified Public Finance Administrator (ACPFA) and Certified Public Finance Investment Manager (CPFIM) from the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada, as well as a Certified Municipal Official (CMO) from AIM's Municipal Management Institute Program.

Additionally, she has been a member of several professional organizations, including ILMCT serving on their Legislative Committee, Education Committee and has chaired the Mentor Committee for several years.  In 2018, Mrs. Jordan was elected to the Executive Board of the ILMCT.  She currently serves on the Board in the position of Immediate Past President.
